The Sterlino sports facility is one of the venues of Rari Nantes Bologna, the oldest swimming and water polo club in Bologna.
LTT was commissioned to carry out the scan-to-BIM process, and more specifically to perform the laser-scanner survey, produce the point cloud, and realise the multidisciplinary BIM information model of the building’s As-Is state.
The Sterlino facility was opened in 1970, in the Murri area of Bologna.
It has an outdoor 50m Olympic-size pool, which in winter is covered by a pressostatic balloon, a year-round 25m indoor pool and a third 25m outdoor pool which in summer is used as a solarium area with synthetic grass, sun umbrellas and sunbeds.
