Trieste, 24/05/2024
In 24 May 2024 the Generali Convention Center in Trieste hosted the Italy-Serbia Business Forum, dedicated to “Green Transition: New Opportunities for Bilateral Cooperation.” The event, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in cooperation with the ICE Agency, attracted prominent political and business leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Miloš Vučević.

The Forum offered a platform to explore the challenges and opportunities related to the green transition, focusing on topics such as the circular economy, technological innovation, and infrastructure sustainability. In addition, B2B meetings were scheduled to foster the creation of new synergies between Italian and Serbian companies.
The event highlighted the importance of Italy as Serbia’s third-largest trading partner, with trade exchange reaching EUR 3.7 billion in 2023. The active participation of Italian companies, including LTT represented by International Tender Specialist Behsa Ghobadi, helped outline prospects for cooperation within the framework of the plan “Serbia 2027: Leap into the Future” and the upcoming Belgrade 2027 Specialised Exhibition.

The success of the Italy-Serbia Business Forum testifies the mutual interest in economic growth and bilateral cooperation, paving the way for new partnership opportunities between the two countries.
