BIM for Public Administration
In the following paragraph are indicated the necessary fulfilments expected by the ITALIANS services of Support to the R.U.P. for Building Information Modeling projects.
The services of Support to the R.U.P. on the basis of the obligations to the P.A. sanctioned by the Ministerial Decree 560/2017, provide that in the Building Information Modeling projects, among the necessary fulfilments (art. 3) are included:
The verification of the Building Information Modeling based on the requirements of the Employer Information Requirements and the main national and international standards is carried out through the comparison with the Public Administration (typically the Single Person in charge of the Procedure or R.U.P.) and the companies, so that the prescriptions are implemented verifying that the BIM model responds in a timely manner to the information needs of the client.
In BIM oriented design, Model Checking is the check on models to be carried out at any time of the process, to determine inconsistencies and interferences in order to make them explicit and share them through reports also automatic.
In verifying information inconsistencies and rules, Code Checking identifies non-compliance with the requirements of E.I.R. ( Employer Information Requirements) or I.M.P. (Information Management Plan), technical standards or specific regulations, customized criteria.
The Clash Detection within a Building Information Modeling project consists in identifying interferences (mainly geometric conflicts) within a federated model between BIM objects.
In order to guarantee always reliable results, in every single BIM order, data validation is the initial preliminary control phase that guarantees consistency with the data content of the Information Model.
LTT.SRL governs the process of transfer and sharing to all actors in the supply chain and verifies and validates the data contained in the BIM models in order to consolidate a profitable flow of information with those involved.
